Becky has been providing licensed counseling since 2009, independently since 2013. She has worked as a therapist in a variety of settings including a community mental health center, outpatient treatment agency for addictions, and in the private sector where she continues to build and maintain a private practice with a consistent referral base. Becky's experience has allowed her to be a multi-licensed professional, both in mental health and chemical dependency, and she has demonstrated her ability to lead by working as a Services Coordinator for a large behavioral health organization. Some examples of presenting problems Becky has helped clients through include:
Anxiety (i.e. excessive worries and/or fears, feelings of dread)
Depression (i.e. feeling empty, worthless, or loss of motivation)
A general feeling of being dissatisfied or unhappy.
A feeling that no matter what they do, it is never enough and nothing ever changes.
Conflicting feelings about major life decisions (i.e. whether or not to have children, marry or divorce their current partner, go back to school, or begin a new career.)
Communication (or lack there of) with the people they love.
Evaluating the seriousness or depth of their substance use.
Difficulty managing work/home pressures.
Co-parenting concerns, parental guilt, or feelings associated with becoming an "empty nester."
Becky has worked with individuals, couples and families all ranging from ages 14 and up. Assessment and treatment planning are her strengths, meaning she knows how to “tease out” the underlying issues, and look at the whole picture to help clients have the best chance at success.
