Our specialty
We work with a variety of mental health issues but one of our specialties is anxiety. People with anxiety tend to become easily overwhelmed by their emotions, and they tend to have particularly negative reactions to those unpleasant feelings or situations. Therapy can be useful because it helps clients identify and manage the factors contributing to their anxiety. By learning about their negative thought patterns and unhealthy beliefs, they can reduce the likelihood and intensity of anxiety symptoms. Anxiety is highly manageable and treatable. Many of our clients suffering with anxiety are able to reduce or eliminate symptoms after several (or fewer) months, and experience a noticeable improvement as early as a few weeks.
Sources of anxiety can create thoughts like this:
“I feel constant pressure and there is never enough time."
“I’m always afraid I’ll make the wrong decision.”
“Everyone else seems to know what they are doing with their life but I don’t.”
“Why do I feel irritated all the time?”
“No matter what I am doing, I can't relax.”
“I just feel like I'm losing control.”
“I thought this is what I wanted but now I’m not so sure.”
“I’m always wondering what he/she is thinking, but I never want to ask them.”
“I can’t talk about what I’m really feeling, that would be disastrous.”
“I always feel like a failure."
